- A Grand Adventure
Each year millions of people travel to Arizona to see the crown
jewel of the American landscape - The Grand Canyon,
and though seeing is believing, you can do much more than look!
You can experience it on a personal level, up close, one step at
at time! At the same time, you will bring help and hope into the
lives of thousands of patients and their families.
A Grand Adventure
is the Walking and Hiking experience you'll always remember!
A Grand Adventure was created by The Walking Connection
to benefit several very special non-profit organizations. It is
a premier fundraising program that prepares people just like you,
from beginning walkers to seasoned hikers to experience The
Grand Canyon as few people ever do - up close and personal - one
step at a time. As a Grand Adventurer, you'll receive everything
you need to get you ready for your Grand Canyon experience.*
- Professional hiking skills and physical training.
- Grand Canyon Adventure Guide, Training Schedule and Logbook.
- Educational clinics on techniques, equipment, trail safety,
nutrition and hydration.
- Camaraderie of training hikes and traveling with a hiking group.
- Complete travel arrangements including transportation, hotel
accommodations, meals and social events.
- Guided hiking experience at Grand Canyon National Park.
- On-line Community including personal web site, blog and e-mail
address.
In return, you'll raise funds for a nationally recognized
non-profit organization that provides medical research, support
and services to patients in your local community and throughout
the United States. You'll meet the patients and families who directly
benefit from the services provided by these organizations. And as
they fight their battle, you will add special relevance to your
own life through your personal achievements as a hiker with A
Grand Adventure.

supporting several organizations and are conducting fantastic hikes
